Rigid shaft couplings are available  with or without keyways,there are one and two piece and set screw style.
Rigid shaft couplings,clamp onto and connect-two shafts aligned with each other,by joining the two shafts,these mechanical components enable the transfer of rotary motion from one rotating shaft(driving shaft)  to the other (driven shaft).the rigid shaft couplings make them ideal for motor applications with high torque and accuracy requirements.
The simple and durable design of rigid shaft coupling allows the components to transmit more power than comparable flexible couplings but also prevents them from compensating for shaft misalignement.
